Intel details Diamond Rapids Xeon 7 chips with 256 P-cores and 1.28GB cache

Intel unveiled architectural details of its next-generation Xeon 7 'Diamond Rapids' server processors at Hot Chips 2026, revealing a design with up to 256 P-cores and 1.28 GB of last-level cache, targeted for a 2027 data center launch.
