The Verge's Elizabeth Lopatto writes that a $14 Zulay Kitchen handheld milk frother became her most-used gadget purchase this year, after she tried an iced Americano topped with vanilla cream at a Los Angeles coffee shop called Stagger. She uses the battery-powered frother to top her coffee with foam, as well as to beat eggs, mix protein powder and make hot chocolate.
