The group includes longtime TikTok partner Oracle, as well as Silicon Valley VC firm Andreesen Horowitz and the p

Wind turbine blade transportation challenges

The research, published in Eurosurveillance, could have implications for how vaccinated populations are screened in the coming years – particularly as people increasingly receive vaccines that protect against multiple high-risk types of HPV virus. Before vaccination, the prevalence of HPV16/18 was between 15 and 17%, wh

When we hear of criminal activity at Walt Disney World, it’s not usually pertaining to an action sequence that feels like it’s come right out of a Disney movie itself. But that was apparently the case this week in Orlando, when over $10,000 was stolen from a Disney World restaurant by a scuba-diving criminal mastermind. WFTV9 (via Cinemablend) reports that in the early hours of today, an unidentified man staged a robbery at the Paddlefish seafood restaurant in Disney Springs, a shopping and din

Adios Chicos, 25 Years of KDE

It was the turn of the millenium when I got my first computer fresh at university. Windows seemed uninteresting, it was impossible to work out how it worked or write programs for it. SuSE Linux 6.2 was much more interesting to try and opened a world of understanding how computers worked and wanting to code on them. These were the days of the .com boom and I went to big expos in London where they showered you with freebies and IBM competed with SuSE and Red Hat for the biggest stall. IBM said tha

As Hollywood scraps over who’ll be the next to take a bite out of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a new documentary is here to remind us just how much Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original stands alone. Chain Reactions follows the elegant, thoughtful style of director Alexandre O. Don't Miss This Claustrophobic Sci-Fi Nightmare Streaming Free on Tubi

There's something about sci-fi horror that hits all the buttons for me. Released in 2009, it's a claustrophobic trip into space where a mechanic wakes up on a col
