Apate, an Australian company founded by Dali Kaafar, has spent two years building a system that routes scam calls to AI bots designed to keep fraudsters talking indefinitely without ever falling for the con. The company says it now runs roughly 350,000 bots that also infiltrate scam chat groups and respond to fraudulent texts, and the platform is used by banks with support from telecom companies.
Microsoft has told IT administrators that security certificates used by Windows Update services will expire on preset dates, and devices that don't install specific updates beforehand will lose access to future updates. Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025 certificates expire June 19, 2027, requiring the September 2025 update or later; other supported Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2022 versions share that expiration but need the July 2026 update. The open-source AnyPS5 project, which aims to run PS5 games natively on Windows and Linux PCs, has reached 100% coverage of the 1,166 AMD RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 shader instructions it tracks. The project works not by emulating the PS5 but by converting existing PS5 executables into native x86-64 Windows or Linux programs, replacing Sony's system libraries with native equivalents.
