Max severity Argo CD API flaw leaks repository credentials

An Argo CD vulnerability allows API tokens with even low project-level get permissions to access API endpoints and retrieve all repository credentials associated with the project. The flaw, tracked under CVE-2025-55190, is rated with the maximum severity score of 10.0 in CVSS v3, and allows bypassing isolation mechanisms used to protect sensitive credential information. Attackers holding those credentials could then use them to clone private codebases, inject malicious manifests, attempt downs

I'm a Lifelong Soccer Fan. How Hisense Is Powering My FIFA World Cup Excitement

I've lived in the United States my whole life, but my family is from Colombia. We visited relatives often when I was a kid, and those trips usually involved three things: soccer, soccer and more soccer. Most afternoons were spent kicking a ball around the finca, or a nearby parking lot, or even a dirt road. And every time a game came on, the entire town shut down for a couple hours as people crowded around whatever TV or radio they could find and enjoyed the broadcast. Soccer is more than a spo

The Doomers Who Insist AI Will Kill Us All

The subtitle of the doom bible to be published by AI extinction prophets Eliezer Yudkowsky and Nate Soares later this month is “Why superhuman AI would kill us all.” But it really should be “Why superhuman AI WILL kill us all,” because even the coauthors don’t believe that the world will take the necessary measures to stop AI from eliminating all non-super humans. The book is beyond dark, reading like notes scrawled in a dimly lit prison cell the night before a dawn execution. When I meet these

Qualcomm's driver-assistance system Snapdragon Ride Pilot will debut on the BMW iX3 electric SUV, offering hands-free highway driving, automatic lane changes and parking assistance. The jointly developed software stack announced today will be powered by Snapdragon Ride system-on-chips and will make its first formal appearance at IAA Mobility 2025. Snapdragon Ride Pilot is a Level 2+ driver-assistance system, not self-driving, which means drivers will still be responsible for supervising the veh

Don’t let outdated IGA hold back your security, compliance, and growth

If organizations want to have any chance of protecting their data from unauthorized access in 2025 and beyond, there is no way around Identity Governance & Administration. But conventional IGA solutions are the wrong option for most businesses. For companies trying to keep their data secure while maintaining a competitive edge, the stakes could not be higher. Faced with an onslaught of identity-based attacks, they need a way to efficiently manage their increasingly complex IT environments while

I tried Lenovo's rotating display laptop, and it's as wild as it is practical

Kyle Kucharski/ZDNET Follow ZDNET: Add us as a preferred source on Google. ZDNET's key takeaways Lenovo debuted a new proof of concept laptop with a 14-inch rotating display. It goes from a landscape to portrait orientation by physically rotating the screen. There are some design elements, like the fabric backing, that raise concerns about its longevity. Earlier this year at CES, we saw Lenovo's wild "rollable" laptop proof of concept -- a computer with a screen that rolls out from under t

Venice’s Iconic Winged Lion Statue Has a Mysterious Origin Story

One of the most iconic symbols of Venice is the winged lion sculpture that perches atop a column in the Piazza San Marco, or St. Mark’s Square. It’s even depicted on the flag of the Republic of Venice. But while it is known as the Lion of Venice, the statue’s origin story appears to be far murkier than once believed. In a new paper published Thursday in the journal Antiquity, researchers lay out evidence that the bronze statue was made using copper ore from the Lower Yangzi River basin in China

James Gunn Claims ‘Peacemaker’ Will Tie-In ‘Directly’ to ‘Superman: Man of Tomorrow’

Superman director James Gunn is doubling down on his recent Instagram post where he said that the second season of Peacemaker is essentially the “prequel” to upcoming Man of Steel sequel Man of Tomorrow. Responding to a fan on the platform, Gunn reiterated that the season finale of the current Peacemaker series will lead “directly” into Man of Tomorrow, despite the fact that three other DCU projects—Supergirl, Lanterns, and Clayface—will all come out in-between. Peacemaker‘s highly-acclaimed s

This Extremely Slim Phone Is Hitting Apple and Samsung Where It Hurts

You have to travel across the world to find just how Americans are devoid of choice for interesting phones. At IFA 2025, I went hands-on with Tecno’s Slim phone—or at least I tried to hold onto its incredibly thin frame. It’s an apt name for such an irregular phone, one that has me asking whether Samsung and—potentially—Apple need to rethink what people really want from frisbee-light phones. China-based Tecno has a penchant for weird mobile devices. The company recently revealed a Phantom Ultim

The 29 Best Energy Drinks, Tested and Reviewed (2025)

Buying energy drinks in public is embarrassing. Every time I see someone scanning the cooler for their favorite flavor of Monster or Ghost, I guess which accompanying vape flavor they've picked out, and I know others are making the same assumption about me when I’m scoring a can of Celsius to beat back a hangover or get lifted before a 10-hour bartending shift. The good news is that it’s easier than ever to purchase your favorite cans from Amazon, and the great news is that you don’t need to pu

You can finally remove fences in Google Photos, and the results are crazy

Rita El Khoury / Android Authority At Google I/O 2017, Google showed what quickly became one of its most infamous product teases in history: removing a chain link fence from a picture of a child playing baseball. The pitch was that we would soon be able to remove pesky fences automatically from our pictures with the help of computer vision, and it looked like magic. While Google Photos would eventually get object removal for more obvious photo distractions like garbage cans and photo-bombers,

Lenovo's latest laptop concept might be the ultimate doomscrolling machine

Lenovo is no stranger to laptops with funky displays. The company has made a notebook with a tri-fold screen, one with a rollable panel and multiple systems with flexible displays. But this year at IFA, Lenovo is testing out yet another new design with its latest concept laptop, and this time it may have created the ultimate doomscrolling machine. Its official name is the ThinkBook Vertiflex Concept and when it's closed, it looks almost exactly like a traditional 14-inch clamshell laptop. But i

Experimental Hook-and-Loop Attachment System for Walls and Floors

This ReCon Project, developed at Austria's Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), proposes a hook-and-loop fastening system for wall surfaces. While a true hook-and-loop arrangement (like that used in Velcro) isn't possible with rigid surfaces, the research team came up with a close approximation. Protrusions were cast into concrete, and a flexible sheet material was 3D printed with corresponding protrusions on one face, allowing the sheet to be non-permanently adhered to the concrete. "Such

Yes, the Screen on This Lenovo Laptop Really Flips From Horizontal to Vertical

Walking into a Lenovo showroom can sometimes feel like I accidentally stepped into a taping of the 1990s sitcom Family Matters. I’m there to see the standard, Carl Winslow-level laptops, the tried and true dependable designs. Then steps in Steve Urkel. Behind his technicolor suspenders, he’s holding a giant metal monstrosity he’s calling a head-tracking laptop stand along with a notebook that flips from landscape to portrait. “Did I do that?” the Urkel side of Lenovo says, snickering from the co

The Pretty Screen on Lenovo’s Legion Go 2 Will Almost Make You Forget About Its Price

Why change what works? In the case of Lenovo’s Legion Go 2, the question morphs into “Why change what makes you distinct?” Lenovo’s upcoming sequel to its Legion Go handheld gaming PC is more powerful, has grips made for human hands, and sports a prettier screen. Its blood is flowing with the same DNA as Lenovo’s odd handheld, but now it comes with a price tag designed to make your wallet weep. Here’s the kicker. At IFA 2025, Lenovo declared the Legion Go 2 will start at $1,050 for a version we

At CES 2025, we saw a ThinkBook with a rollable OLED screen that expanded upward automatically at the touch of a button—this one is a real product you can actually buy. Get ready for another whacky
