The iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, and iPhone Air all arrive in stores tomorrow, September 19. Now, Apple has begun notifying the first pre-order customers for the new iPhones that their devices have shipped.
Apple’s website now says iPhone 17 has officially shipped for at least some buyers
If you were among the first to pre-order the iPhone 17 or iPhone Air, your new iPhone might now be marked as ‘Shipped.’
Users have begun reporting that the Apple Store shows their new device as having shipped.
If you check your order status on Apple’s website or in the Apple Store app, you should see whether your new iPhone has earned the ‘Shipped’ status too.
Alternately, it may instead say ‘Preparing to Ship,’ which is the stage right before it shows as shipped.
Even if your order doesn’t yet say shipped, that doesn’t mean it will miss the projected arrival date Apple provided when you ordered.
Rather, Apple often leaves the ‘Preparing to Ship’ status in tact until very close to the actual release day. Behind the scenes, though, your iPhone 17 or iPhone Air should still be on the move.
If you weren’t able to snag an estimated delivery date on release day, September 19, you likely won’t see an update on your order status yet. Though sometimes Apple is able to deliver new iPhones sooner than it originally projected, so we recommend keeping a close eye on Apple’s website or the Apple Store app for the latest info.
In case you missed it, we published in-depth reviews of the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone Air yesterday. Be sure to check those out while you wait for delivery.
