Yankee Candle is closing stores, joins list of retail chains reducing their physical footprint in 2025

The brand’s parent company, Newell Brands, says it will lay off 900 employees worldwide, or about 10% of its workforce. Candles and lights are typically a festive part of the holiday season but, this year, Yankee Candle has little reason to celebrate.
