Why This Matters

Apple's support for multiple AI chatbot apps on CarPlay with iOS 26.4 marks a significant step toward integrating AI-driven conversational tools into driving experiences, enhancing safety and convenience for users. This development signals a growing trend of AI adoption in automotive interfaces, offering personalized assistance and entertainment while on the road.

Also for subscribers, Perplexity released its Personal Computer AI assistant feature for Mac this week. The company also brought its AI browser, Comet, from the Mac to the iPhone and iPad recently.
