Are people still updating to iOS 26 and iPadOS 26?
Every year, around WWDC, Apple updates its iOS and iPadOS usage numbers, offering a glimpse of how fast (or slowly) users are adopting the current system.
This week, Apple updated its adoption rate figures with data “measured by devices that transacted on the App Store on June 7, 2026.”
According to Apple’s new numbers, of all iPhones introduced in the last four years:
86% are running iOS 26
11% are running iOS 18
3% are running earlier versions
When it comes to all iPhones in use that can run iOS 26:
79% are running iOS 26
