GoKawiilThe star of Wednesday’s Apple event was the iPhone Duo, which may have you wondering, “Can I really afford that?” And then, “When can I get it?” But as with previous product announcements, some of the devices and features that Apple revealed won’t be available for a while.
Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like we’re seeing a repeat of 2024’s Apple Intelligence rollout, which inspired a false-claims lawsuit, which Apple is settling. Siri AI now works as advertised, at least in the beta versions we’ve tested so far.
For the other features Apple touted during its event, here’s an idea of when you’ll actually be able to get them in your hands. We have specific dates for a few things, but be prepared to wait until “late 2026” for several.
The main events: Hardware
Some of Apple’s new products are just around the corner, while others require a wait.
The Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 can be preordered now and will arrive starting Sept. 18.
Preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max open at 5 a.m. PT on Saturday and will also begin arriving on Sept. 18.
The star of the show, the foldable iPhone Duo, is a bit further out, with preorders starting at 5 a.m. PT on Oct. 16 and first shipments arriving Oct. 23.
