GoKawiilApple releases tvOS 27 with redesigned Podcasts app and iPhone-based updates
Apple has begun rolling out tvOS 27 to all supported Apple TV 4K models (excluding the first generation), bringing a redesigned Podcasts app with video support, Apple Music additions like AutoMix and Hi-Res Lossless Audio, and adjustable Dynamic Type text sizing. The update also lets users install tvOS updates through the iPhone's Home app without turning on the Apple TV itself.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
The update notably excludes the new Siri AI assistant and the previously announced Smart Downloads feature, suggesting Apple is holding back deeper AI integration for a rumored hardware refresh of the Apple TV 4K. This signals Apple is treating tvOS as incremental this cycle while saving bigger platform changes for future silicon.

- New features include a redesigned Podcasts app, AutoMix, Hi-Res Lossless Audio, and iPhone-based software updates.
