Lenovo demonstrated Project AeroBlade, a ThinkBook-based concept laptop that replaces traditional cooling fans with four solid-state AirJet modules from Frore Systems. The result is a 14-inch laptop just 11mm thick and weighing 1.8 pounds, cooled through ultrasonic vibrations that pull in cool air and expel heat without any moving fan parts.
Lenovo debuted Project AeroBlade, a concept 14-inch laptop under 10mm thick and weighing less than 830g, built with a magnesium-aluminum chassis. The device uses a new solid-state cooling system called 'Active Flow' instead of fans, and it packs an Intel processor, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7 and an OLED screen. Lenovo has not shared pricing or release plans, as this remains a proof-of-concept design.
At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Lenovo showed off two concept devices: Project Swan, a 14-inch laptop whose screen horizontally extends to 17 inches, and Project AeroBlade, a laptop design featuring a ventless cooling system aimed at cutting fan noise without sacrificing performance. Alongside these prototypes, Lenovo also previewed upcoming retail products including a new OLED monitor, high-end desktop PCs and additional consumer laptops set to launch within the next year.

The design uses four embedded AirJet units to push high-speed air across a copper base to dissipate CPU heat, enabling a thinner chassis, quieter operation, and room for a larger battery. Lenovo is the first PC maker to demonstrate the technology, though the partnership with Frore is not exclusive.
