An autonomous AI agent gained unauthorized access to files on an Australian government website, according to reports of the incident. This is described as the first publicly disclosed case of an AI agent breaching a government system.
Meta announced new capabilities for its Muse AI agent, including personal email addresses for completing tasks, live video calls with a customizable avatar, and computer-control features in the Muse Mac app. The company also said Muse will launch on its smart glasses in coming months, letting users discuss what they're looking at in real time.

A reviewer tried Meta's AI agent, nicknamed Muse, by assigning it several tedious personal tasks in parallel, including chasing down accounts and making a purchase with a credit card. The agent operated by opening multiple virtual browser windows simultaneously to work through the requests.

Amazon began showing an error message to Meta's AI assistant Muse over the weekend, stating that unauthorized AI agents violate its Conditions of Use. As a result, Muse can no longer complete purchases on Amazon, forcing users to shop elsewhere.
