Apple unveiled a revamped Health app alongside its new Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, using Apple Intelligence to analyze user data more deeply. New features include an Insights tab, a readiness score, a computed 'Health Age' based on metrics like VO2 max and sleep, and a longevity tab that can incorporate lab results. Apple also partnered with Quest Diagnostics to offer a 50-biomarker blood panel for $119.
Apple used its Surprise and Shine event to introduce a redesigned Health app powered by Apple Intelligence, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, AirPods 5 and Apple Watch Ultra 4/Series 12. The app adds a Longevity tab showing a calculated 'health age,' an Insights tab, AI-based movement tests for strength and balance, and paid blood tests through Quest Diagnostics starting at $119. The Apple Watch Series 12 also gains a Readiness score using sleep, activity and vitals data to recommend how hard users should push themselves each day.
Oura is extending its Menopause Impact Scale, a self-reported questionnaire it launched in May that measures how menopause symptoms affect quality of life, beyond its own app. Ten partners—including Alloy Health, Gennev, Wisp, Pomelo, Maven, Tia, Xella, Oova, Mira and Hertility—will now integrate the scoring tool into their care and tracking services. The scale evaluates 22 symptoms across seven categories such as sleep, cognition, body image and hot flashes, and results can be exported as a PDF to share with providers.
Apple's long-rumored Health app revamp, internally known as Project Mulberry, missed its expected debut in iOS 26.4 and again at WWDC27. Speculation now points to a possible unveiling alongside the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 next month, given Apple's history of introducing health features outside its June keynote.
