A new update to the Xbox PC app contains references to 'Mythic achievements,' a completionist reward that unlocks once a player earns every achievement in a game, complete with a unique sound and dashboard tracking. Xbox Insider testers have spotted similar references in early dashboard builds, and players will reportedly be able to display their Mythic count on their profiles. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said last month the company would introduce a platinum trophy equivalent later this year.

Microsoft announced further restructuring at Xbox as part of cuts affecting roughly 3,200 employees, consolidating several studios and shifting development of Halo to a different team. Microsoft will let anyone buy cloud gaming playtime hours through the Xbox Store starting in November, letting non-subscribers stream eligible owned games without Game Pass. At the same time, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will face a new monthly cap of just 15 cloud gaming hours, pushing heavy users toward buying extra hourly bundles. Microsoft is also testing a free, ad-supported cloud gaming tier for Xbox Insiders.
