Geneva Watch Days, the industry's autumn showcase since 2020, brought a wave of new releases this week including Breitling's limited-edition Navitimer B09 tribute to Miles Davis and a leaked Casio G-Shock 'CasioNaut' analog series inspired by the original 1983 DW-5000C. The event has grown into a major counterpart to April's Watches and Wonders, giving brands a second annual moment to unveil flagship pieces.
Leaked images on Notebookcheck and Instagram reveal upcoming Casio G-Shock GMC-2500 (steel) and GAC-2500 (resin) watches featuring pronounced side shoulders reminiscent of Patek Philippe's Nautilus. The resin GAC-2500 line reportedly draws design cues from the original 1983 DW-5000C, while Casio has not confirmed pricing, specs or release date and declined to comment when asked by WIRED.
Roland has launched the FP-40 digital piano, notable for including built-in Wi-Fi rather than the more common Bluetooth connection found on rival instruments. The piano pairs with a new companion app called Piano Sphere, which delivers real-time feedback, song libraries, and courses, while the piano itself logs practice history and flags when a player is struggling. Roland also equipped the instrument with its Piano Reality Sound Engine and weighted, triple-sensor hammer-action keys aimed at mimicking acoustic piano feel.
