AI startup Dimensional is hiring people in the Bay Area to walk its robot dogs through city streets for four- to six-hour shifts at $20 an hour, according to The New York Times. The dogs, roughly 33-pound Unitree units of which Dimensional owns more than 100, are fitted with cameras and sensors that record the walks, and walkers must be prepared to carry the robot back if it overheats.
Scientists describe a surface transfer doping method in which a single-crystal diamond wafer's surface is terminated with a single atomic layer of hydrogen, giving it negative electron affinity. This causes electrons to move from the diamond into acceptor species at the surface, creating a dense two-dimensional hole gas within a few nanometers of the surface that provides p-type conductivity without altering the diamond's bulk properties.
Apple maintains a Dimensional Drawings section within the Accessories area of its developer website, offering precise technical schematics for 96 devices. The library covers current and recent hardware including iPhones, Apple Watch models, AirPods, MacBooks, the Siri Remote, AirTag, and Vision Pro accessories like its ZEISS Optical Inserts. Each drawing details exact measurements for buttons, cameras, sensors, speakers, connectors, and keepout zones where certain materials must be avoided.
