Google has replaced the Exynos modem used in previous Pixel phones with a MediaTek modem in the Pixel 11 series, promising better reliability, speed, and power efficiency. Android Authority ran side-by-side signal and performance tests comparing the Pixel 11 Pro against last year's Pixel 10 Pro using identical SIM cards and network conditions to verify these claims.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 FE with nearly identical specs to last year's S25 FE, including the same 6.7-inch OLED display, 4,900mAh battery, and triple rear camera. The main changes are an upgraded Exynos 2500 chipset, a slightly wider selfie camera, new color options, and a redesigned camera island, but the phone now starts at $699.99, a $50 increase over its predecessor.
A report from South Korean outlet SEDaily, citing industry sources, says Samsung's in-house benchmarking shows its upcoming Exynos 2700 chip outperforming Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Gen 6 Pro across several metrics, including Geekbench 6.5 scores, gaming performance, and AI response generation. The chip also reportedly uses roughly 12.7% less power than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro while delivering better low-power gaming results.
