Samsung's Thailand Newsroom page originally listed September 21 as the One UI 9 update date for its latest flagship line, but that listing has quietly been changed to September 28, aligning it with the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7. The shift comes even though Samsung already began rolling out the stable update in Korea days earlier. No official explanation has been given for the change.

Samsung has pushed four AI features first introduced for the Galaxy S26 lineup—Call Brief, Custom Cards in Now Brief, Now Nudge, and My FanCam—to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 via a second One UI 9 beta build. These tools were already extended to the Galaxy S25 series and now bring smarter calling context, personalized daily briefings, proactive on-screen suggestions, and automatic video reframing to last year's foldables. The update also patches bugs affecting Wi-Fi, display, camera, and app stability.
Samsung is broadening its One UI 9 beta program beyond the Galaxy S25 series to include the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and S25 FE. The beta will roll out in India, Korea, the UK, and the US through the Samsung Members app, though the Galaxy S25 Edge appears excluded from this wave.
