Shin Jin-seo becomes first human to beat KataGo in official two-stone handicap series

South Korean Go grandmaster Shin Jin-seo defeated AI engine KataGo 11.5 points in the deciding third game of a three-match series in Seoul, after losing the opener and winning game two. Playing black over 221 moves and roughly three hours, Shin built a large territorial framework starting around move 80 to seal the win under a two-stone handicap, the toughest margin considered playable for humans against top AI.
