GoKawiilProxima Fusion to build €140M superconducting tape factory in Germany
Proxima Fusion announced plans to construct a €140 million ($162.6 million) plant to manufacture fusion-grade high-temperature superconducting tape, a critical material for containing plasma in its reactors. The factory will be funded through a mix of public and private money, including €21 million from the state of Lower Saxony, and follows a €411 million funding round the startup closed months earlier.
