Following the update, some iPhone users may notice faster battery drain, but Apple has stated this is a normal, temporary side effect of the device completing background setup tasks like indexing data and updating apps.
Apple quietly rolled out iOS 27.1, but it is only available on the new iPhone Duo; other iPhone models currently show iOS 27.0.1 as their latest update. All other iPhones will instead jump directly to iOS 27.2, which has been in beta for a month and is set to launch next week with its own new features.
Apple has launched the iPhone Duo, a $1,999 folding iPhone with a 5.4-inch outer screen and 7.6-inch inner display, arriving seven years after Samsung's first Galaxy Fold.
