Apple's redesigned Health app appeared in the first iOS 27.2 developer beta, adding an Insights tab with Apple Intelligence-driven suggestions, a Longevity tab showing a Health Age and readiness score, at-home movement assessments, and eventually blood panel ordering through Quest Diagnostics. Apple says some features, including personalized summaries and recommendations, will roll out gradually across future betas ahead of a full public release in late 2026.

Apple has released the first developer beta of iOS 27.2 featuring its overhauled Health app, first unveiled at last week's event by VP of Health and Fitness Sumbul Desai. Key additions like an AI-powered Insights tab, a Longevity tab with Health Age scoring, readiness metrics, at-home movement assessments, and Quest Diagnostics blood panel ordering will roll out gradually across future betas rather than all at once. Apple says the full public release is expected in late 2026, with beta feedback shaping the final version.

Apple has issued the first developer beta of iOS 27.2, a 22GB download, just days after iOS 27 rolled out to all users on September 14. Notably, Apple bypassed iOS 27.1—the version tailored for the upcoming iPhone Duo's dual display—choosing instead to jump straight to 27.2 for now.

Apple confirmed that its foldable iPhone Duo won't support the Apple Pencil at launch with iOS 27.1, with compatibility instead arriving via a software update expected around November. Only the Apple Pencil USB-C model will work with the device, meaning owners of the Apple Pencil 2 or Pencil Pro will need to buy a new $79 stylus. Unlike iPads, the iPhone Duo lacks magnets for wireless charging, so the Pencil must be paired and charged via a USB-C cable.
