New leaks about Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone, expected to launch under the Ultra branding at over $2,000, suggest several notable omissions. The device reportedly skips a telephoto lens in favor of dual 48MP Main and Ultra Wide cameras, ditches the Action button and mute switch entirely, replaces Face ID with a Touch ID sensor built into the side button, and appears to lack MagSafe charging support based on dummy units without the familiar magnetic ring.

Apple is preparing a wave of over ten new products, including its first foldable iPhone, dubbed iPhone Ultra, a long-rumored smart home hub called HomePad, and a refreshed Apple TV 4K. The HomePad, first detailed by Mark Gurman in late 2024, was delayed by Siri AI setbacks but now appears close to release alongside other Home products.

Mark Gurman reports that Apple insiders who've handled the upcoming foldable iPhone Ultra praise its pocketability, hinge durability, iPad-style app layouts on its roughly 7.8-inch inner screen, and its usefulness as a camera viewfinder. The device, expected to launch soon with a 5.5-inch outer display, is rumored to cost over $2,000 and use Touch ID rather than Face ID, with only a main and ultra-wide camera.
