Meta is selling certified refurbished Quest 3S headsets for $255.99 through its eBay storefront using the code SAVE20TECH, valid through November 8th. The units come inspected and cleaned, include original or new accessories, and carry a two-year Allstate warranty, undercutting the headset's $349.99 retail price and its recent $300 new-condition Prime Day price.
Meta announced it will stop developing new features for the Quest 2 and Quest Pro, with final OS updates arriving in March 2027 and security patches continuing through the end of that year. Developers have until December 2027 to submit new apps for the devices, though existing apps can still be updated afterward. Meta says purchased apps and cross-play with the Quest 3 and Quest 3S will remain available beyond that cutoff.

Supernatural, the VR fitness app that shut down earlier this year, has returned in early access on Meta Quest headsets under a new, smaller independent team called Supernatural Health. The relaunch restores familiar trainers, music tracks and thousands of workouts, with hand tracking planned as a future addition to initial controller support.
Supernatural has returned as an Early Access app in the Meta Horizon Store after spinning off from Meta, which had said it would stop creating new content for the game. The relaunched app includes thousands of remastered workouts, weekly new content starting next week, and a subscription price increase from $9.99 to $20 per month (or $200 annually).
Valve has stopped making its original Index VR headset and is clearing remaining stock at a 20% discount, including accessories like the tether, base station and controller. A full set of individual components now totals $741, down from $926, though the bundled package is no longer sold. The move comes shortly after Valve launched the Index's successor, the Steam Frame, starting at $1,060.
Microsoft has introduced the Xbox Nano Controller, a smaller version of its standard gamepad measuring just over five inches and weighing 3.5 ounces. A developer named Antelo has published ldraw-nova, an open-source tool that lets an AI agent take a user's model idea and build it into a LEGO design using the LDraw format. The output includes source code, a Blender-editable glTF file, multiple viewing options including a VR mode for Meta Quest 3, and a log of the agent's chat and reasoning process. The project is distributed via Docker and relies on a companion semantic search tool called jev-rerank, built by the same author, to help agents find matching parts and reference models.
At its Connect event, Meta announced Meta VR Glasses, a lighter headset built from magnesium alloy and powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite chip via a separate battery puck. The glasses feature micro-OLED lenses offering a 5K display, Dolby Vision and Atmos support, and Meta says they are the first IMAX Enhanced certified VR device. Meta also said it has partnered with Disney to bring select movies, including certain Marvel titles, to Disney+ in 3D starting in November.
Meta demonstrated a new device called Meta VR Glasses, a $1,299 folding, glasses-shaped VR visor set to launch next spring. The hardware uses eye-tracking and hand-pinch controls, displays sharp passthrough video of the surrounding room, and can run immersive 3D content such as concert footage and sports broadcasts. Unlike Meta's Orion prototype, these are VR rather than AR glasses, though they share some design traits.
