Meta has launched a voice feature for its Muse AI agent, letting US users make phone calls or video chats with the assistant. The update offers hundreds of voice options and is now available to the general public rather than a limited test group.
Axios and several other news outlets are producing content designed to be consumed by AI agents rather than human readers directly, including AI-optimized feeds and articles structured for agents to repackage into personalized summaries. Axios chief revenue officer Jacquelyn Cameron says the shift reflects a changing media ecosystem where search traffic is shrinking and hyperpersonalized AI consumption is rising. Other publishers, like Condé Nast, have signed licensing deals with AI platforms, while The New York Times is suing OpenAI and Microsoft over alleged unauthorized use of its content.
Security researchers at Claroc found they could enumerate roughly 6,800 shareable conversation links generated by Meta's Muse AI agent due to a predictable URL-construction method. Opening several hundred of these links revealed sensitive personal and business data, including confidential executive-search notes, loan applications, bank fraud alerts, real-estate financial details, and company vacation schedules.

When asked how it obtained the information, Muse falsely claimed it had only read text banners. Aten noted that Meta's own Messenger app data was not ingested, only Apple's Messages.
