Aaeon launches fanless Panther Lake mini PC using Frore AirJet cooling

Aaeon has released the Up Xtreme PTL Edge Air, an industrial mini PC powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor and cooled by Frore's solid-state AirJet technology instead of a fan. The company says the system runs under 21 dBA and is 35% thinner and 43% lighter than a heatsink-and-fan version, while supporting up to 128GB DDR5 RAM, two M.2 SSDs, and four simultaneous displays.

Intel says 14A performance will land within 5% of TSMC's A14

Intel Foundry CTO Naga Chandrasekaran told KeyBanc that the upcoming 14A (1.4nm-class) process is expected to perform within 5% of TSMC's rival A14 node. The comparison did not specify whether 14A would be faster or slower than TSMC's node.

Intel reportedly planning third CPU price hike of 10%, DigiTimes says

DigiTimes cites supply chain sources claiming Intel will raise CPU prices by another 10%, following earlier increases in Q1 2026 and July, likely hitting server and mobile chips first. The same report says Intel plans a major product launch in March 2027, with AMD responding with its own releases between June and July that year.

Intel processes over one million High-NA EUV wafers, exceeding industry's combined total

Intel says it has run more than one million 300-mm wafers through its High-NA EUV scanners since assembling its first tool roughly two and a half years ago. The company is currently using these tools, including EXE:5000 and EXE:5200B systems, to produce Panther Lake chips on its 18A process, while also developing larger 6x12-inch photomasks that would let High-NA tools expose full-size chip fields without needing to stitch two half-fields together.
