Android Authority published a roundup recommending five wearables as alternatives to the Fitbit Edge, which launches soon after its earlier announcement this month. A comparison of Google's two new Fitbit wearables finds that the $179.99 Fitbit Edge, which includes a 1.34-inch AMOLED touchscreen and GPS, offers largely the same core health and fitness metrics as the screenless $99.99 Fitbit Air. Neither device currently supports Sleep Breathing Quality tracking, though Google says it may add that feature to the Edge in the future.
Amazon is selling the LTE version of Google's Pixel Watch 5 for $399.99, a $100 reduction from its standard price. The cellular model allows calls, texts, and streaming without a paired phone nearby, and Google rates the watch's battery life at up to 30 hours.
Google has released the Fitbit Edge, its second Fitbit device of 2026, positioned as a successor to the Charge 6 with a Pixel Watch-like design. It features a 1.34-inch OLED touchscreen in an aluminum IP68-rated frame, a single side button, and up to seven days of battery life (two days with always-on display enabled). The device pairs with Android and iPhone via the Google Health app and costs roughly half the price of the Pixel Watch 5.
Google has introduced the Fitbit Edge, a $180 smartwatch measuring 11.5mm thick, positioned between the screenless Fitbit Air and the bulkier Pixel Watch 5. The device shares a similar display and touchscreen functionality with the three-year-old Fitbit Charge 6, and Google says it is its first repairable Fitbit.
Google unveiled the Fitbit Edge, a $179 fitness tracker with a 1.34-inch color AMOLED display, built-in GPS and a week of battery life. It positions between the screenless $100 Fitbit Air and the $400 Pixel Watch 5, and preorders open Monday ahead of an Oct. 27 release.
