Meta announced new Threads features aimed at podcast creators, including profile cards and banners showing podcast info, tappable episode link cards, transcript posting, guest tagging, episode-drop reminders, and audience engagement analytics. The update builds on tools introduced last year that linked creator profiles to podcasts and improved link cards for discussion.
Meta is expanding Threads' podcast features, letting users share show transcripts, save episodes for later, and view analytics on clicks and saves. Podcast creators can also get reminders to share new episodes, and posts can display video clips, transcripts or tagged guests to promote a show.
WIRED is producing a special issue on gender and power in Silicon Valley and will record a live episode of its Uncanny Valley podcast in San Francisco on October 8.
