OpenAI unveiled a new $500-per-month Pro 500 subscription at its DevDay event, offering its highest usage allowance and an 'Ultrafast' speed tier that generates up to 300 tokens per second in Codex and Work apps. Simultaneously, the company reduced allowances for its existing $200 Pro tier, cutting Codex/Work usage from 20x to 10x the Plus allowance and halving weekly GPT-6 Pro message caps from 200 to 100, though it says current subscribers will keep existing limits temporarily and receive a one-time credit afterward.
