Hobbyist converts Razor A5 Lux push scooter to electric using a cordless drill
A maker documented converting a stock Razor A5 Lux push scooter into an electric vehicle by mounting a Hercules cordless drill to drive the front wheel through a keyed shaft and one-way bearings. The build used a welder, a 3D printer, and parts sourced from Harbor Freight, Amazon, and McMaster-Carr, relocating the drill's trigger to the handlebars for throttle control. The result tops out around 10mph and gets roughly two miles of range from a 5 amp-hour battery.
