SwitchBot has released the K11+ Pro, a compact robot vacuum measuring under 10 inches across and 3.62 inches tall, paired with a small self-emptying dock roughly 9.4 by 7.1 inches. The device uses LiDAR mapping with a close-range sensor for furniture detection, stores up to five floor maps, and supports Matter, allowing it to integrate with Apple Home alongside the SwitchBot app.
Matic has released the Serene, its first new robot vacuum since 2023, priced at $1,695 — $200 more than the original Matic, which remains on sale at $1,495. The main change is noise reduction, with Serene running at 52 decibels at full suction compared to 55 decibels on the original model, achieved through a new hardware stack. Current Matic owners will be able to request a hardware upgrade to Serene starting in early 2027.
Android Authority reviewed the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete, a $1,299 robot vacuum that uses extendable arms to position a spinning brush and mop pad beyond its main body. The design targets a long-standing robot vacuum weakness: cleaning hard-to-reach edges and corners that sit outside the device's footprint.
Modern vacuums carry cameras, microphones and a map of your home. Most of that is for navigation, but what leaves the house depends entirely on the vendor's choices.
The Dreame X40 Ultra robot vacuum and mop is on sale for $499.99, a 15% discount that matches its previous all-time low price. The device offers 12,000Pa of suction power along with a hot-water mop-washing feature.
A new open-source project called Vacuula provides a self-hosted server that can repair and control Neato robot vacuums, including units left unusable after Neato's cloud services shut down. The tool currently supports Neato's Gen3 and Gen4 models (D3 through D10), with Gen2 BotVac Connected support still in development, and offers core features like maps, scheduling, zones and historical run data. Users set it up via Docker Compose or a Home Assistant add-on, running the server on their own hardware since it must stay online continuously.
Amazon is offering the Roborock Qrevo Series robot vacuum and mop at a 42% discount, marking its lowest price so far in 2026. The device includes a self-emptying dock, dual spinning mop pads, and app-based scheduling and cleaning controls.
The Eufy Omni E35 is a premium robot vacuum that combines automated mopping and sweeping with improved object detection. A hands-on review calls it the strongest luxury-tier robovac the reviewer has tested so far, citing its ability to navigate around obstacles without the frustrations common to similar high-end models.
During Prime Day, Shark has discounted select models, including the PowerDetect Stick Vacuum at $300 and the UV Reveal robot vacuum at $750. The PowerDetect model features a larger dustbin and is praised for its power and flexibility, while the UV Reveal stands out for its stain-detecting UV light and cleaning capabilities. Both deals are available as Prime Day concludes today, encouraging quick purchases for those seeking high-performance cleaning devices.
Dreame has released the L60 Ultra PE, a mid-range robot vacuum priced at $1,100 that combines vacuuming and mopping with 30,000Pa of suction, extending side brushes, and a heated water mopping system. Its base station mixes clean water with detergent, stores dirty water, and holds a debris bag rated for up to 100 days of use, with water reserves covering roughly 1,200 square feet of mopping per fill.
Researchers studying the Higgs field suggest our universe may exist in a 'false vacuum' that could one day collapse into a lower-energy state, destroying reality as we know it through an expanding bubble. New theoretical work argues quantum mechanical effects could make this catastrophic event far less likely, or at least much slower, than earlier calculations implied.
Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale this October includes markdowns on several robot vacuum/mop hybrid devices. Discounts are also available outside Amazon, with retailers such as Best Buy and some manufacturers offering their own reduced prices on similar cleaning robots.
