Retailers including Best Buy, Newegg and Walmart are closing out Labor Day sales with discounts of up to 38% on pre-built gaming PCs, some saving buyers over $1,200. Featured deals include an ABS Kaze II Aqua with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5080 for $2,999.99, and an iBuyPower Y40 with a Ryzen 9 9900X and RX 9070 XT for $2,199.99.
Newegg is selling the ABS Kaze II Aqua gaming PC, which pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with an Nvidia RTX 5080, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB SSD, for $2,999.99 using a coupon code. That's $500 off list price and actually cheaper than the same bundle cost when it was featured back in April, despite rising component prices industry-wide.
The AMD BC-250 is a leftover PlayStation 5 APU that failed console binning standards and was instead sold on mining server boards built by ASRock. With mainstream GPU mining now unprofitable, these boards have flooded the secondhand market for roughly $70-$100, giving hobbyists a full single-board PC with 6 Zen 2 cores, 24 RDNA 2 compute units, and 16GB of shared GDDR6 memory.

A popular Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000 MT/s kit has crossed $400, up more than 400% from its historical low of around $80 on Newegg, according to PCPartPicker tracking. Other DDR5 configurations have seen similarly steep increases, with a 128GB kit now priced at $3,399.
HP has cut $2,200 off its Omen Max 45L gaming desktop, dropping the price to $4,799.99 for a complete system built around an RTX 5090 GPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, a 2TB SSD, and an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor. That price is roughly $30 less than what the RTX 5090 graphics card alone currently costs at retail, making the entire prebuilt machine effectively cheaper than one of its components.
