Nvidia has released Personal AI Router (PAIR), a free open-source tool that finds compatible computers on a home network and links them together to run local AI inference tasks through apps like Ollama and LM Studio. It supports Nvidia RTX 20-series and newer GPUs, RTX Pro and DGX Spark systems, plus Apple M4 chips or later, and only taps machines when they're idle so it doesn't interfere with other use.
Nvidia has detailed two variants of its Arm-based N1X chip that will power RTX Spark laptops arriving next month. The higher-end version pairs a 6144-core Blackwell RTX GPU with a 20-core Grace CPU and up to 128GB of unified memory, while the scaled-down laptop version uses a 5120-core GPU, an 18-core CPU, and up to 32GB of memory. Devices from Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI are expected to launch in October, alongside mini PCs like Microsoft's Surface RTX Spark Dev Box.
Lenovo is showing off a ThinkBook-based concept called Project AeroBlade at IFA 2026, which replaces traditional fans with Frore's AirJet solid-state cooling technology. The device is under 10mm thick and weighs less than 1.8 pounds, making it thinner and lighter than a current ThinkPad X1 Carbon while still running active cooling nearly as quietly as a MacBook Air.
