Microsoft's Family Safety Feature Is Blocking Chrome: Here's the Workaround

Microsoft's Family Safety feature is designed to block certain types of websites from children. Apparently, it's also been blocking Google's Chrome browser -- but there is a workaround. Chrome, a web browser launched by Google in 2008 -- is not working when users have the Family Safety Feature enabled. The first report of the bug seems to date to June 3, when a user posted on Google's online support board. The user noted that Chrome constantly closed when the person tried to use it. Restarti

‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Directors on Meeting Fan Expectations and Championing Original, Inclusive Animation

When Sony Pictures Animation first announced KPop Demon Hunters back in 2021, director, writer, and longtime K-pop devotee Maggie Kang (The Lego Ninjago Movie) envisioned the project as both a love letter to the early days of the genre she grew up with and a vibrant celebration of Korean culture. Teaming up with co-director Chris Appelhans (Wish Dragon), Kang set out to craft a film that merges the dazzling precision of K-pop choreography with the spectacle of magical girl action, all wrapped up

NYC proposes 5 percent raise for rideshare drivers in a bid to appease Uber and Lyft

New York City's Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) have settled on new minimum-wage rules for rideshare drivers, Bloomberg reports. Drivers will receive a five percent raise under the new proposal, a compromise to keep Uber and Lyft from locking drivers out of their apps. The proposal needs to be voted on by the TLC's board of commissioners before it goes into effect, but assuming it does, it'll end months of uncertainty for drivers working in the city. Uber began sporadically locking drivers

Lee didn’t respond to a request for comment. Cluely’s new funding comes roughly two months after it

A New Welcome Offer for The Platinum Card® from American Express Gives Me Pause. Here's Why

CNET/Getty Images Would you apply for a credit card that costs hundreds of dollars if the issuer wouldn't tell you what the welcome offer was? American Express recently changed the language for the terms on The Platinum Card® from American Express without specifying the exact number of points you'd be eligible to earn with its welcome offer. A credit card's welcome bonus -- a lump sum of rewards you can earn typically for reaching a certain spending threshold in a specified number of months -

Marvel Just Added a *Fourth* Movie to Its 2028 Plans

Marvel’s been having a pretty quiet time at the box office as of late, as it prepares to head into a new Avengers duology to cap off its latest, up-and-down era in a pretty subdued manner. 2025 may have 3 MCU movies to its name (and a host of TV projects), but after Fantastic Four: First Steps, just four movies will release across 2026 and 2027. But once the dust settles on Secret Wars? Marvel Studios is cranking things back up. Variety reports that Disney has now dated a fourth untitled Marvel

Munich from a Hamburger's perspective

Over the long weekend, thanks to Whit Monday being a public holiday in Germany, I decided to visit a friend who lives in Munich. I spent about three and a half days there and thought it would be a good idea to share my thoughts. I saw a lot during my stay, and since I live in Hamburg, I naturally started comparing the two cities. There are quite a few differences. Before I go into the details, I should mention that I’ve been living in Hamburg for seven years, and this was my first time in Bavar

If you’re looking for real-world

Nothing Phone 3 says goodbye to Glyph Interface, hello to Glyph Matrix

TL;DR Nothing teases its upcoming Phone 3 with a new design element called “Glyph Matrix.” The teaser suggests dot matrix-style lighting on the back of the device, potentially for more intricate light patterns. Previously leaked renders of the Phone 3 do not align with the newly teased Glyph Matrix design. In typical Carl Pei fashion, the Nothing Phone 3 hype train is at full speed. We’ve just about recovered from the heartbreak after learning about the Phone 3’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor

The Xbox Ally's Biggest Specs Upgrade Could Just Be Better Windows 11 for Handhelds

The same thing that makes Windows gaming handhelds desirable also holds them back. It's never been the hardware. The designs aren't perfect in a lot of the devices -- even the best of the lot, the Asus ROG Ally and ROG Ally X, which are the basis of the forthcoming ROG Xbox Ally -- but they're generally playable. The culprit has always been Windows. It simply isn't an operating system designed for a dedicated gaming handheld, and that needs to change. Of course, we'd all love the Xbox Ally to
