Cybersecurity company Netskope is eying a $7.3 billion valuation after pricing shares at $19 for its upcoming IPO, at the top end of its expected range. Netskope's offering comes amid a

It’s Been 30 Years Since ‘Masked Rider’ Tried to Give ‘Kamen Rider’ Its ‘Power Rangers’ Moment

When audiences were in the grip of Power Rangers mania in the early ’90s, Saban Entertainment sought more ways it could leverage its relationship with Japanese studio Toei to turn even more Tokusatsu series into U.S. hits. Thirty years ago today, Saban debuted its take on one of the medium’s most legendary entries, Kamen Rider, hoping the next Power Rangers was in its hands. Instead, audiences got Masked Rider, and Kamen Rider‘s own journey to the U.S. would take the long way round over the nex

Trump's TikTok deal will give control to a group of US investors, report says

The plan to "save" TikTok is starting to come into focus. On Tuesday The Wall Street Journal reported more details about a deal between the US and China as the two sides are apparently "finalizing" specifics of the arrangement. According to the report, TikTok's US business will be owned primarily by a group of US investors, which will have a "roughly" 80 percent stake in the entity. The group includes longtime TikTok partner Oracle, as well as Silicon Valley VC firm Andreesen Horowitz and the p

‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Producers Promise Season 4 Will Be Better

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ third season was weird as hell. Not just for the wild swings in tone and genre the series went for in its latest round of boldly going, but for a season that veered largely in quality from one episode to the next, including a particularly notable nosedive in its back half. But now that the season is over, and work on the next has already concluded, its producers are beginning to acknowledge that stumble. Speaking to TrekMovie recently after a screening of season 3

Which colours dominate movie posters and why?

Colour is one of the quickest ways a poster can tell you what kind of film it’s selling. Before you’ve read the title or registered the actors, your brain has already clocked the palette and filed it against a lifetime of genre expectations. Over the past century, marketing teams have shifted from painterly illustration to photography and from saturated Technicolor hues to today’s more controlled, strategic colour use. I wanted to take a data-led look at colours on movie posters, so I gather

‘The Strangers: Chapter 2’ Opening Is a Game of Hide and Seek

You may not know it, but we’re a few weeks out from The Strangers: Chapter 2. To help drum up interest for the film, Lionsgate’s put out a clip from the first few minutes of the film, which picks up where 2024’s Chapter 1 concluded. Last we left off, Maya (Madelaine Petsch) survived the attack from the titular Strangers that left her boyfriend Ryan dead, and she ended the film recuperating in the hospital. But before she can worry about her health bill, she realizes that she’s not as free of th

Tesla's most affordable Cybertruck gets scrapped after a whopping five months

The rear-wheel drive trim of the Tesla Cybertruck lasted about five months before it was unceremoniously removed from online sales. The Long Range model represented the most affordable Cybertruck option with its starting price of $69,990, but visitors to Tesla's online configurator can now only choose between the all-wheel drive model that starts at $79,990 and the Cyberbeast trim, which goes for at least $114,990. Tesla launched the Long Range version of the Cybertruck in April, which arrived

Apple Thinks Orange Is the New Black. It Isn't

Apple's new idea for the iPhone 17 Pro is simple: paint it the same color as Cheeto dust, construction cones and that one Nissan you only ever see tragically idling in rental car lots. Apple may be calling it "cosmic orange," but there's absolutely nothing heavenly about it. Yes, the iPhone Pro has officially gone gaudy orange… and, I think we're supposed to pretend this is exciting. Don't miss any of our unbiased tech content and lab-based reviews. Ford's F-150 Lightning STX replaces the XLT while boosting range and power

Ford has unveiled a new F-150 Lightning variant called the STX that brings extra range and a rugged attitude to the lineup. ‘The Strangers’ Endures Because of Its Grim Simplicity—and Its Mile-Long Mean Streak

The Strangers – Chapter 2 is hitting theaters soon, continuing the story from the 2024 reboot. The trailer hints at a hospital stalking tale in the vein of 1982’s Halloween II. But it’s hard to imagine any Strangers take ever topping the 2008 original, a brutal slice of home-invasion agony that suggests even the most ruthless evil can be as simple as it is random. Written and directed by Bryan Bertino, The Strangers is the kind of very-low-budget, high-yield horror flick that studio heads dream

'Rocks as big as cars' are flying down the Dolomites

When one of Italy's much-loved Five Towers toppled, it seemed a rare, exceptional event. In fact, throughout this stunning mountain range, peaks are crumbling. True to its name, the Five Towers – a small, iconic mountain range in the Dolomites (Eastern Italian Alps) – resembled five stone fingers spreading up towards the sky. It’s time for Google to address this major Play Store issue

Karandeep Singh / Android Authority Google’s Play Store has a serious problem, and it’s something that’s a big source of frustration for me. While many apps on the Play Store offer subscriptions, I find it nearly impossible to figure out the exact price before I download them. Google makes it clear that an app offers “in-app purchases” right on the main page, but it never gives me the crucial pricing information I need. This might seem like a small issue, but for me, it matters a lot. Price is

This Orange Shark Is the Result of a Rare Genetic Double Whammy

The depths of the Caribbean host a spectacular array of marine life—including this nurse shark featuring vivid orange scales and cloudy white eyes. Last year, anglers on a fishing trip near Costa Rica with Parisima Domus Dei, a tourist company, reeled in what looked like a giant goldfish with shark-like chompers. After snapping some photos of the creature—about 6 feet (1.8 meters)—the fishermen let it go, later describing their strange encounter to marine experts. The researchers concluded tha

Subaru Solterra first drive: Big improvements in all the right places for 2026

When Subaru's first electric car launched in late 2021, the Solterra had something of a problem: It wasn't exactly competitive in any of the major factors that EV buyers typically look for. Its 220-mile range and 215-horsepower output were middling at best when compared to vehicles like the Tesla Model Y. Its quirky styling didn't exactly help, either. For 2026, Subaru is giving the Solterra a significant up-do. Don't call it a reboot, as it's still very much the same SUV as before, but with mo
