Oh Lord, ‘Peacemaker’ Has Its Foxy Season 2 Song

One of the best, most everlasting parts of that first season of Peacemaker was its opening credits as the antihero and friends (and his dad) danced to “Do You Wanna Taste It?” by Wig Wam. With season two less than a month out, everyone’s been wondering what its song would be, and the answer is…”Oh Lord” by Foxy Shazam. During Saturday night’s Peacefest at San Diego Comic-Con, James Gunn took to the stage to break the news, calling it a song “from my favorite band in the world that is objectivel

“Hot Rick,” the season eight finale of Rick and Morty, hits Adult Swim July 27. Speaking about Rick’s evolution, not just this season but since the show’s 2013 debut, executive producer Dan Harmon was reflective. “Having a character that starts off so edgy and nihilistic, it

‘Solar Opposites’ Creators on Crafting the Show’s Final Season

A lively crowd turned up for what may be Solar Opposites‘ last San Diego Comic-Con panel—the animated Hulu sci-fi series will end after its sixth and final season drops October 13. How logic can help AI models tell more truth, according to AWS

AWS distinguished scientist Byron Cook makes the case for "automated reasoning." Amazon AWS The term "reasoning" is a familiar metaphor in today's artificial intelligence (AI) technology, often used to describe the verbose outputs generated by so-called reasoning AI models such as OpenAI's o1 or DeepSeek AI's R1. Another kind of reasoning is quietly taking root in the most advanced applications, perhaps closer to actual reasoning. Also: Will AI think like humans? We're not even close - and we

There’s No New ‘Friday the 13th’ Movie to Announce… Yet

But as of now, there’s no concrete news to report about a new Friday the 13th film. Yet. “After 45 years, we wanted another 45 years,” Barsamian said from the stage, referencing the fact that the original Friday the 13th was released in 1980. “And we hear you loud and clear. The Meme Stocks Are Back and May Have Found Their New ‘Roaring Kitty’

It seems meme stocks are back, and this time, the latest craze was sparked—somewhat accidentally—by a Canadian hedge fund manager named Eric Jackson. About three weeks ago, Jackson’s firm, EMJ Capital, bought shares of Opendoor Technologies, a San Francisco–based company that buys and sells homes online, at around $0.70 apiece. Since then, the company’s share price has skyrocketed over 600% to an intraday high of almost $5 on July 21. Today, it’s trading at about $2.40, still a roughly 250% gai

Best Sounding Wireless Earbuds We've Tested (July 2025)

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds: Bose has announced that it will be shipping its improved QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd gen) in the "summer" of 2025 in the U.S., which means you'll be able to find discounts on the original QC Ultra Earbuds, which feature excellent sound and previously best-in-class noise-canceling performance. Sony LinkBuds Fit: Truth be told, in some ways, I like Sony's new LinkBuds Fit ($200) better than its flagship WF-1000XM5 noise-canceling earbuds. While they don't sound quite as

If you omit some key details, all Preston Thorpe has to do to become a senior software engineer at a promising tech company is walk through the door. For about six months, Thorpe was a prolific volunteer contributor to an open source project led by database company Turso. His work was impressive enough that Turso’s CEO, Glauber Costa, quickly offered him a job. That was also when Costa realized that Thorpe is anything but an ordinary programmer. “I checked his GitHub profile, and he mentions t

The 47 Best Shows on Hulu Right Now (August 2025)

While Netflix seemingly led the way for other streaming networks to create compelling original programming, Hulu actually beat them all to the punch. In 2011, a year before Netflix’s Lilyhammer and two years before the arrival of House of Cards, the burgeoning streamer premiered The Morning After, a pop-culture-focused news show that ran for 800 episodes over three years. Hulu has continued to make TV history in the years since, most notably in 2017 when it became the first streamer to win an E

Major quantum computing advance made obsolete by teenager (2018)

A teenager from Texas has taken quantum computing down a notch. In a paper posted online earlier this month, 18-year-old Ewin Tang proved that ordinary computers can solve an important computing problem with performance potentially comparable to that of a quantum computer. In its most practical form, the “recommendation problem” relates to how services like Amazon and Netflix determine which products you might like to try. Computer scientists had considered it to be one of the best examples of
