A maker has released the PSPi 6, a custom circuit board that replaces a PSP 1000's original mainboard with a Raspberry Pi Zero, Zero 2W, or CM4. The project includes an 800x480 display, power management, original PSP controls, and audio support, with hardware designs and firmware released as open-source files under a Creative Commons license.
Apple's Dynamic Island, introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro to house Face ID sensors alongside the camera, displays Live Activities for timers, navigation, music, sports scores and supported third-party apps. Veda is a new operating system, written from scratch in Rust, that embeds an AI agent as a native system service rather than a bolt-on assistant.
