iOS 26 launches to all users next week, and despite months of beta testing already, Apple saved a couple surprise features for the wide launch that have become instant favorites: app icons can now auto-tint based on your iPhone’s color or its case color. Apple launches new TechWoven material for iPhone 17 cases

After the disaster that was FineWoven two years ago, Apple is back again with another attempt to replace its leather cases with something more environmentally friendly than leather, and more stylish and premium than its base silicone range. Benoit Blanc Takes on an Unholy Mystery in ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ Trailer

Netflix has released a new trailer for Wake Up Dead Man, the latest chapter in Rian Johnson‘s mystery series starring Benoit Blanc, the world’s greatest detective of ambiguous Southern origin. Have a look: As evidenced by the trailer, the story concerns an “impossible” locked mystery of seemingly supernatural origin, evoking the great works of John Dickson Carr, Seishi Yokomizo, and Hanna-Barbera. This is exciting in itself, as the subgenre has long been considered radioactive in Hollywood for

Boat-Attacking Orcas Are Back for Vengeance

"We completely freaked out when we realized the orcas were hitting the boat." Pods of killer whales are once again attacking boats along the coast of Spain, striking fear into the hearts of local sailors. As Live Science reports, the orcas have been singling out sailboats and tearing off their rudders, again drawing attention to the large sea mammals' changing behavior, with experts suggesting that orcas are teaching each other how to take down sailing vessels. While scientists are still tryi

The Biden-Era Plan to Pay Travelers for Airline-Caused Delays Is Dead

For a brief moment, it looked like US travelers might finally get automatic cash when an airline's own problems wrecked their plans. The Department of Transportation, under former President Joe Biden, drafted a rule requiring carriers to pay passengers at least $200 and up to $775 for the longest holdups. The compensation would cover meals, hotels, ground transport and rebooking when disruptions were within the airline's control. But no longer. On Sept. 5, the Trump administration's DOT offici
