GoKawiilReddit launches For You and Following homepage feeds
Reddit announced a new homepage experience with two tabs: a Following feed showing posts from subscribed subreddits, and a For You feed that mixes those posts with recommendations based on user interests. The rollout follows Reddit's earlier move to deprecate r/all as part of its push to simplify and personalize the Home feed.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
The change signals Reddit's continued shift toward algorithmic recommendation, similar to other major platforms, which could reshape how users discover content beyond subreddits they already follow. Reddit's plan to limit access to Old Reddit unless users log in soon suggests the company is pushing users toward the new personalized experience and away from manual sorting options.
- Reddit now offers Following and For You feeds on its homepage.
- For You surfaces recommended posts from subreddits users don't subscribe to.
- Access to Old Reddit may be restricted unless users log in soon.
