Walmart is selling MSI's Gaming Trio GeForce RTX 5090 for $4,299 as part of its GeForce Week promotion, a price well below the $8,000+ third-party listings currently common for the card. The RTX 5090 remains Nvidia's top gaming GPU, still selling far above its original $1,999 MSRP due to scarce supply and demand from AI workloads.
Remedy's Control Resonant, the sequel following Dylan Faden's search for his missing sister Jesse amid a Hiss invasion of Manhattan, has been benchmarked across 28 graphics cards. The game supports full path-traced lighting via Nvidia's RTX Mega Geometry technology alongside the complete DLSS 4.5 suite, including Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and Multi Frame Generation.
Nvidia has updated Ray Reconstruction, its AI denoiser-upscaler for ray tracing, to the second-generation transformer architecture used in DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution. The company says the new model handles 35% more compute and 20% more parameters than before, improving image quality and reducing ray-tracing artifacts with little to no performance cost. GeForce RTX owners can access the update immediately.
Nvidia has released an upgraded version of DLSS Ray Reconstruction, version 4.5, which is now live in 30 supported games. The update refines how ray-traced lighting and denoising are handled, aiming to reduce visual artifacts and improve image stability during gameplay.
