A PassMark benchmark listing labeled 'Intel 0000' shows a 28-core processor, believed to be an early Nova Lake-S sample, scoring up to 5,210 points in single-thread testing, surpassing the Core Ultra 9 285K, Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Core i9-14900KF. However, its overall CPU Mark and Memory Mark scores trail current flagship chips, and separate eight-core entries show widely varying results.
Acer confirmed its Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld will go on sale exclusively at Best Buy starting November 1 for $1,300. The FCC issued an order on October 22 allowing Intel to keep using certain foreign-made automated guided vehicles in its US chip fabs for one year. A hack of the P3 Global Intel tip-management platform used by Canadian Crime Stoppers exposed more than 1.5 million tips spanning 25 years, a CBC investigation found. About 850,000 records contained personal details such as addresses, phone numbers, emails and license plates, and over 4,300 tipsters had given their full names. The data was stolen last March by a hacktivist group called Internet Yiff Machine and later shared with journalists via the nonprofit Distributed Denial of Secrets.
