Dyson introduced the R1 Nurovi Dry, a robotic vacuum that skips mopping capability but includes many premium features found in higher-end combo mop-and-vacuum robots. The device is positioned at a lower price point than typical mop-bots, targeting buyers who only want suction-based cleaning.
Dyson has released three new robot vacuums under its Nurovi line: the R1 Nurovi Dry ($550), R2 Nurovi Wash + Dry ($700), and R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV ($1,200). All three share a redesigned light gray look, lidar-based navigation replacing the previous camera system, and a Twin-Capture system for cleaning both carpets and hard floors, with the top model adding UV stain detection. The R2 will be Costco-exclusive, while the R1 and R3 sell through Dyson's website and other retailers.
Dyson debuted a new generation of vacuums at IFA 2026, headlined by the Nurovi robot vacuum series. The R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV ($1,299) adds 'UV-enhanced AI' stain detection, effectively a sequel to this year's Spot+Scrub Ai, while the more budget-friendly R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry ($699) brings vacuum-and-mop functionality at a lower price point. The PencilWash stick vacuum also gets an updated version that now includes a docking station.
Dyson used its Dyson Unveiled event near IFA 2026 in Berlin to launch 11 new products, headlined by the HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+, a large air purifier with a directional nozzle designed to project purified air across multiple rooms. The company also introduced a new Nurovi robovac lineup, including the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, which uses UV and AI sensors to detect stains and launches September 15 at $1,199.
