At a Los Angeles event, Snap CEO Evan Spiegel introduced new capabilities for the company's Specs smart glasses, including streaming integration with HBO Max and Spotify and a new AI system called Specs Intelligence. The AI system is designed to connect with other devices like iPhones and Macs, learning users' habits and priorities to help them manage ongoing projects and daily routines.
Snap has begun taking preorders for its consumer Spectacles, now offering a separate 5G cellular carrying case through Verizon partnerships in the US, plus Orange in France and EE in the UK. Alongside this, Snap launched Specs Intelligence, a proactive AI assistant app for iPhone and Mac that works independently of the glasses but integrates with them when paired.
