Tesla has expanded its Powershare Home Backup feature, previously exclusive to the Cybertruck, to Premium and Performance Model 3 and Model Y vehicles paired with a Powerwall 3. A programmer published a personal essay describing growing unease as the industry moves toward 'vibecoding' and AI-assisted architecture design, away from hands-on, detail-oriented coding. The post traces the author's eight-year journey into low-level programming, cycle counting, and writing machine code by hand, and laments that these skills are becoming less valued. The author frames it explicitly as a personal journal entry rather than industry analysis.
Mirror Particle, a two-year-old San Francisco startup, is developing a custom foundation 'world model' that aims to predict consumer behavior and its underlying causes, rather than relying on large language models fine-tuned to role-play demographics. CEO Abhivyakti Ahuja says the model focuses on tracking how people change over time, including the triggers behind those shifts. The company has raised an angel round and says it is close to closing its first venture round.

Co-founders Brody Franzen and Aris Simsarian bring backgrounds from Virgin Galactic, Castelion, and Virgin Orbit.
A project called openTPU has released an open-source AI inference accelerator whose hardware design, instruction set, compiler and simulator were developed by AI agents rather than human engineers. The design was tested on an Inspur YPCB-00338 FPGA card, successfully running ten language models including LFM2.5, Qwen3, Gemma 4 and SmolLM3, with output matching the simulator bit-for-bit.
