A Recap on May/June Stability at Neon

Details of incidents and what we did to prevent more in the future Starting in May, we had a series of feature launches with agentic AI partners that gained far more momentum than we predicted. In two short timespans, the rate of new database creation increased more than 5x, and the rate of branch creation increased more than 50x. While we were humbled by the uptick, the significant burst in operational load caused a lot of strain in the Neon platform, manifesting as more incidents over the cou

Louis Vuitton says regional data breaches tied to same cyberattack

Luxury fashion giant Louis Vuitton confirmed that breaches impacting customers in the UK, South Korea, and Turkey stem from the same security incident, which is believed to be linked to the ShinyHunters extortion group. Since last week, the retailer has been notifying customers that their info was exposed in a data breach, first in South Korea, then in Turkey, and on Friday in the United Kingdom. Scale AI lays off 14% of staff, largely in data-labeling business

In Brief Data-labeling startup Scale AI is laying off 200 employees, roughly 14% of its staff, and cutting ties with 500 of its global contractors, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday. The cuts come just a month after Meta hired Scale AI’s CEO in a $14.3 billion deal. In a memo obtained by Bloomberg, interim CEO Jason Droege told staff that Scale AI had too quickly scaled its core data-labeling business — in which the startup supplied AI labs with labeled, structured data to train AI models. YouTube TV might offer you $96 off NFL Sunday Ticket if you canceled last season

TL;DR Some former YouTube TV subscribers are getting $96 NFL Sunday Ticket discounts via email. The offer targets users who canceled after last season and is valid until August 7. Discount offers seem to vary, and reactivating YouTube TV will impact any potential savings. With streaming prices climbing across the board, sports fans are feeling the pinch more than most. However, if you’re unsure about resubscribing to NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV this year because of the price, you might wa

Cyberpunk 2077's latest update brings VRR to consoles and introduces an autodrive mode

There's another big update for Cyberpunk 2077 coming our way. Update 2.3 brings some notable new features to PC and consoles. CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is adding official in-game support for VRR on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. There's also an official AutoDrive feature, which is something that has long-existed in the modding community. This is available in all cars and moto

Zelda’s new live-action stars could be around for a long time

Nintendo just announced the two leads of its live-action Legend of Zelda film, and unlike the celebrity-packed Mario movie cast, Zelda will star two young, lesser-known actors: Bo Bragason as Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. You may not have heard of them, but there’s a good chance they’re going to be a part of the franchise for a while. Choosing stars who are in their teens (Ainsworth) and early 20s (Bragason) makes a lot of sense. In the games, even the “older” Links and Zeldas are

Reddit is back online after a brief outage

"We reverted and are seeing Reddit ramp back up." As to what that update was, we don't yet know, but it was probably a standard tweak to

The members’ data includes names, addresses, and contact information. The retailer’s netwo
