Reddit is dividing its home page feed into two separate tabs: For You, which blends posts from communities you've joined with algorithmic recommendations, and Following, which shows only posts from communities you've actually joined. The change is rolling out globally over the coming weeks.
Reddit announced a new homepage experience with two tabs: a Following feed showing posts from subscribed subreddits, and a For You feed that mixes those posts with recommendations based on user interests. The rollout follows Reddit's earlier move to deprecate r/all as part of its push to simplify and personalize the Home feed.
YouTube is rolling out Custom Feeds, a feature that lets viewers create and save multiple recommendation feeds using conversational prompts, such as one for wind-down documentaries or commute podcasts. These feeds appear on the Homepage and refresh automatically with new suggestions. The feature expands on a prior experiment and will launch this fall for US users on web, mobile, and TV.
Google is developing a new toggle within Google Photos that would let users display all photos and videos in their home feed at a consistent, identical thumbnail size. The feature appears to still be in development and has not yet rolled out broadly to users.
