That testing fleet will manually map a specific area before moving onto autonomous testing, which is slated for later this year. Watc

Is the “million-year-old” skull from China a Denisovan or something else?

A fossil skull from China that made headlines last week may or may not be a million years old, but it's probably closely related to Denisovans. The fossil skull, dubbed Yunxian 2, is one of three unearthed from a terrace alongside the Han River, in central China, in a layer of river sediment somewhere between 600,000 and 1 million years old. Archaeologists originally identified them as Homo erectus, but Hanjiang Normal University paleoanthropologist Xiaobo Feng and his colleagues’ recent digita

Amazon might also share new information about Alexa Plus, its AI-powered revamp of Alexa that launched earlier this year. And the company used to announce all kinds of Alexa-enabled products at its fall events, so perhaps Amazon will bring some of that chaotic energy to this show as well.

128GB Pixels aren’t doomed, thanks to this Google Photos hack

Andy Walker / Android Authority I wholeheartedly believe that 128GB of base storage on modern Android flagships should be a thing of the past. It’s just too little at this point when system files and updates already block a sizeable chunk of it, and the remaining is taken up by the ever-ballooning app sizes — God knows what kind of data they are storing, because Excel has no business running into hundreds of MBs (or sometimes GBs). And did you see what a clown the newly launched Pixel 10 series

A Look into Intel Xeon 6's Memory Subsystem

Intel’s server dominance has been shaken by high core count competition from the likes of AMD and Arm. Xeon 6, Intel’s latest server platform, aims to address this with a more scalable chiplet strategy. Chiplets are now arranged side by side, with IO chiplets on either side of the chip. It’s reminiscent of the arrangement Huawei used for Kunpeng 920, but apparently without the uniform chiplet height restrictions of Huawei’s design. Intel also scales up to three compute dies, as opposed to a maxi
