Apple to replace iPhone 18 Pro Max units left unable to call on AT&T

Some iPhone 18 Pro Max owners on AT&T's network reported losing all cellular connectivity, including the ability to dial 911, according to MacRumors, which estimates thousands of customers affected. Apple told CNET it will give free replacement devices to those customers, who should contact Apple Support or AT&T.

Apple's support documentation specifically advises against bringing iPhones into saunas or steam rooms, noting that liquid damage isn't covered under warranty; Google offers similar guidance and suggests using a Bluetooth speaker instead.
