Why ‘One Piece’ Fans Are Hyped for Nico Robin’s Netflix Debut

Over the weekend, Netflix unveiled the official season two trailer of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece. It’s laden with peeks at where the Straw Hat Pirates’ odyssey will take them on their trek to uncover the pirate king’s hidden treasure—and fans lost their minds at the first look at a fan-favorite character, Miss All Sunday, aka Nico Robin. While it was announced months ago that Nico Robin would be played by Lera Abova (Honey Don’t!) alongside Joe Manganiello as Mr. O (aka Crocodile), fans had yet t

Claude can now reference past chats, if you want it to

Claude is getting a better, if selective, memory. Rather than acting as perfect catalog of everything you've talked about or shared, Anthropic says the AI chatbot now has the ability to reference past chats when asked, so you don't have to re-explain yourself. The feature seems like it could help you pick up a work project after time away, or query Claude for the details of a past research session that you don't quite remember. The key point is that Claude has to be prompted: It doesn't call on

Scientists Design Huge Spacecraft That Could Carry 2,400 Colonists to Alpha Centauri

A team of engineers has come up with designs of a 36-mile spacecraft, dubbed Chrysalis, designed to carry up to 2,400 passengers to Alpha Centauri, the closest star system to our own. As first spotted by Live Science, the ambitious vision recently won the team the top prize at the Project Hyperion Design Competition, which was launched last year by an international consortium of scientists, engineers, and urban planners. Unsurprisingly, Chrysalis sounds like it was yanked straight out of a sci

North Korean Kimsuky hackers exposed in alleged data breach

The North Korean state-sponsored hackers known as Kimsuky has reportedly suffered a data breach after two hackers, who describe themselves as the opposite of Kimsuky's values, stole the group's data and leaked it publicly online. The two hackers, named 'Saber' and 'cyb0rg,' cited ethical reasons for their actions, saying Kimsuky is "hacking for all the wrong reasons," claiming they're driven by political agendas and follow regime orders instead of practicing the art of hacking independently. "

GitHub will be folded into Microsoft proper as CEO steps down

Microsoft has owned GitHub since 2018, but the widely used developer platform has operated with at least a little independence from the rest of the company, with its own separate CEO and other executives. But it looks like GitHub will be more fully folded into Microsoft's org chart starting next year—GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke announced today that he would be leaving GitHub and Microsoft "to become a founder again." "GitHub and its leadership team will continue its mission as part of Microsoft’s

How Debian 13's little improvements add up to the distro's surprisingly big leap forward

Jack Wallen/ZDNET ZDNET's key takeaways Debian 13 (aka "Trixie") is now available for general use. This latest release is an elegant, smooth, and stable OS. Trixie ships with plenty of applications, a new theme, and a modern kernel. Debian is often called the "mother of all distributions" because so many distributions (such as Ubuntu) use it as a base. The reason for this is twofold: Debian is user-friendly and is absolutely rock-solid. It's a rare occasion that I run into an operating syst

8 forgotten Android classics I still play today

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority Call me a boomer, but for me, mobile gaming peaked in the early 2010s. Phones were getting powerful enough to run console-like experiences, but the industry hadn’t yet drowned in gatcha tactics, ads after every level, or endless battle passes. Instead, developers focused on compelling single-player experiences, short but addictive gameplay loops, and just the right balance of challenge and accessibility. In those early years, some mobile games felt more like pa

Ubisoft may have prematurely revealed FX's TV adaptation of Far Cry

A post on Ubisoft's news page reportedly announced that FX is working on a TV show adaptation of the Far Cry franchise. The page has since been taken down and entering the website redirects to Ubisoft's landing page for company news. However, several Redditors have been circulating what they saw in the press release. According to the alleged Ubisoft post, the Far Cry franchise adaptation will be an "anthology drama" where "each season will be set in a new world with a different cast of characte

The Merlin Bird ID App Is Better Than Meditation, and It's Not Just for Birders

I've done everything I can think of to improve my mindfulness. I've tried countless meditation apps and breathing exercises to stay in the present, and I'm always working on improving my mental health. What helps me stay grounded has nothing to do with any of that. It's an app for identifying birds. Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Merlin Bird ID launched in 2014 to help people identify the birds they see and hear. Thanks to eBird, the world's largest database of bird sounds and photos based on 80

Sena S1 Smart Cycling Helmet Review: Listen to Everything

One of the most important senses we have as bike riders is our hearing. Whether you're in a group ride, where other riders are calling out road and traffic hazards, or alone, to keep ears out for vehicles or other rides coming from our rear, our ears are nearly as essential as our eyes. Bone-conduction headphones—which sit outside the ears and deliver sound through vibration—have been around for some time. But Irvine, California-based Sena has consistently raised the bar on bicycling helmets wi

I tried T Sat side by side with Verizon’s Skylo and neither worked as well as I’d hoped

Aamir Siddiqui / Android Authority Recently, T Satellite service officially became available for both existing T-Mobile customers and those on other networks that want satellite backup for emergencies. I have since signed up for the service myself and had the opportunity to field test it alongside a Galaxy S25 Edge that is capable of utilizing Skylo satellites via Verizon’s network. As someone who lives smack dab in rural America, there are plenty of dead spots within a 20-35 minute drive from

P-fast trie, but smaller

Previously, I wrote some sketchy ideas for what I call a p-fast trie, which is basically a wide fan-out variant of an x-fast trie. It allows you to find the longest matching prefix or nearest predecessor or successor of a query string in a set of names in O(log k) time, where k is the key length. My initial sketch was more complicated and greedy for space than necessary, so here’s a simplified revision. (“p” now stands for prefix.) A p-fast trie stores a lexicographically ordered set of names

OpenAI Usage Plummets in the Summer, When Students Aren't Cheating on Homework

For years, teachers have been bashing their heads against the wall as students outsource their homework to large language model (LLM) chatbots like ChatGPT. The time-honored tradition of parenting-by-screen — grossly exacerbated by the rise of LLM chatbots — is now coming to a head with what many have called a "crisis in student literacy," as reading ability among children in the US hits all-time lows. The issue isn't just affecting K-12 either; university professors have reported a similar dro

Robin is Finally Getting Some Cinematic Love Again

To the delight of DC fans online, The Batman Part II has now entered pre-production ahead of its start date in early 2026. Director Matt Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin have been secretive about what to expect from their Bat-sequel, but there’ve been rumors flying for some time now, with the most recent being that it’ll be darker—because of course it’ll be, and probably likened to Empire Strikes Back at some point—and will feature Robin, Batman’s sidekick. If true, this will make for the th

Scientists Find Evidence That Ozempic Can Reverse Aging

Image by Steve Christo / Corbis via Getty / Futurism Rx/Medicines Scientists have found new evidence that Ozempic-like drugs can help reverse aging — yet another health benefit added to the laundry list of off-label usages for the popular diabetes jab. In a new, not-yet-peer-reviewed paper, research led by scientist Varun Dwaraka of the TruDiagnostic aging lab in Kentucky suggests that once-weekly shots of semaglutide, the GLP-1 drug in Ozempic and its weight loss sister drug Wegovy, can reduc

What Should I Do With My OG Switch? Nintendo’s Wooden Amiibos Are the Answer

With a Switch 2 in tow, your original Switch is likely gathering dust. The sequel handheld is an upgrade—a spec bump. Nintendo is trying to give users a few more use cases for the older handheld, implying its first dockable handheld may end up being your child’s or younger cousin’s new toy. The Mario maker introduced a whole slew of new toys and Switch software explicitly geared toward kids. They’re all currently exclusive to Japan, though we can’t imagine western audiences wouldn’t jump on the
